Jen Wang is an illustrator/comic book artist who just published her first comic, Koko Be Good. She was featured on an interview on MTV. I have tried contacting her to be the artist I write my essay about. I really like her style--it is a nice medium between the kind of implied realistic and a Disney-esque level of fun and lots of facial expressions.
